1. Acceptance of these terms
This page states the Terms and Conditions under which you may visit this website and use the Ramayana Katha app (together, "the Service"). Please read it carefully. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions, we request that you leave this site and stop using the app.
Project Play Team ("the Company", "we", "us"), together with its business divisions, subsidiaries and associate entities in India or abroad, reserves the right to revise these Terms and Conditions at any time by updating this page. You should visit this page from time to time to review them, because they are binding on all users of the Service.
2. Use of content
All logos, brands, marks, headings, labels, names, signatures, numerals, shapes, or any combinations of these appearing in the Service, except as otherwise noted, are properties owned or used under licence by the Company and/or its associate entities. The use of these properties or of any other content of the Service, except as provided in these Terms and Conditions or in the content itself, is strictly prohibited.
Our product design, artwork and cover images may not be used commercially without our permission. You may not sell or modify the content of the Service, or reproduce, display, publicly perform, distribute or otherwise use the materials in any way for any public or commercial purpose, without our written permission.
You are welcome to use the app's own Share button to send episodes to family and friends for personal, non-commercial use.
3. Acceptable use
(A) Security rules
You are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the Service, including, without limitation:
- accessing data not intended for you, or logging into a server or account you are not authorised to access;
- attempting to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of a system or network, or to breach security or authentication measures, without proper authorisation;
- attempting to interfere with service to any user, host or network, including by submitting a virus or "Trojan horse", overloading, "flooding", "mailbombing" or "crashing";
- sending unsolicited electronic mail, including promotions and/or advertising of products or services.
Violations of system or network security may result in civil or criminal liability. The Company and/or its associate entities have the right to investigate occurrences they suspect of involving such violations, and to involve and cooperate with law enforcement authorities in prosecuting users who are involved in them.
(B) General rules
You may not use the Service to transmit, distribute, store or destroy material:
- that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offence or violate any applicable law or regulation;
- in a manner that infringes the copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property rights of others, or violates the privacy, publicity or other personal rights of others;
- that is libellous, defamatory, pornographic, profane, obscene, threatening, abusive or hateful.
4. The Katha and its content
The episodes in the app are a retelling of the Ramayana, offered for devotional and general reading. Many tellings of the Ramayana exist and details differ between them. We take care with the text, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, free of error, or in agreement with any particular scripture, tradition or edition. If you notice a mistake, please write to us.
5. Advertisements and third-party services
The app is free and shows advertisements supplied by third parties. Third-party advertisements and links are not endorsements or recommendations by the Company, and we accept no responsibility for their content, for promises made in them, or for the quality or reliability of the products or services they offer. Your dealings with any advertiser or third-party site are between you and that party.

6. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless, without objection, the Company, its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, actions, demands, liabilities, losses and damages whatsoever arising from or resulting from your use of the Service or your breach of these terms.
7. Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". You agree that neither the Company nor its group companies, directors, officers or employees shall be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages resulting from:
- the use of, or the inability to use, the Service;
- the cost of procuring substitute goods or services;
- any goods, data, information or services obtained, messages received or transactions entered into through or from the Service;
- unauthorised access to or alteration of your transmissions or data;
- any other matter relating to the Service,
including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, use, data or other intangibles, even if the Company has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
You further agree that the Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from interruption, suspension or termination of the Service, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, whatever the cause of the interruption, suspension or termination.
8. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Your use of the Service may also be subject to other local, state, national or international laws.
